One of the joys of being a Beta Tester is the free stuff. You get new software early. You get to know more about that software and how it works from the people who developed that software. And then you get asked to do things like this which makes you question your sanity and just why the hell you agreed to this torchure after all.
One of these moments for me is very near at hand. I will, gulp, be installing Vista on top of XP in what is referred to in the biz as a "in place" upgrade. These never go well. They are always unstable and you always end up reformatting months, um weeks alright days later.
Still some out there will not want to lose all their data. And Microsoft supports this option. So.. sigh.. I need to test if this one AT program will survive the upgrade process intact.
If you too must do this, and I take pity on you and those near you within shouting range, here's a link to give you the heads up on what this process will be like.

Good luck to us all and see you on the dark side of the moon.
